Homework:
Reading Log
As a 3rd grader, your student will be responsible for reading at least 20 minutes each evening as homework, excluding Fridays. I desire for your student to be able to grow as a reader & to cultivate a passion for the books that he or she is reading!
A part of that is continuing to read and “dive” into a book each evening. Your student will be given a reading log each week in order to track what books he or she is reading, the length of time spent reading, as well as parent initials for each evening. I will collect the students’ reading logs each week and will discuss with the students the books they read at home.
Math Home Links
As a part of our math curriculum, a Home Link homework page is included for each section of math that we complete. The week’s anticipated Home Link section pages will be brought home at the start of each week, and will be due completed on a stated date in the following week. There are helpful parent tips that will also be sent home so that you are able to confidently help your child if they have any questions as they complete the work pages.
